Note: the User's Manual is supplied in .PDF format which requires the Adobe Reader to view the file. If you do not currently have a copy of Adobe Reader on your system you can download it here: ![]() Some users have commented that it takes an long time for versions 5 and 6 of Adobe Reader to load... you might consider downloading Adobe Reader version 4.05 -- see the Adobe Archive Page link at the bottom of the Get Adobe Reader page linked to the button above. |

Installation Notes...
FULL INSTALL -- To install the Grades and Plans software, use Windows Explorer (or My Computer, etc.) to locate the file downloaded... generally, it is an Application file of the form GPxxx.exe, where the xxx is the revision level of the software. Double-click the file name to initiate the install process. This will unpack the downloaded file, install the Grades and Plans application files, install any Windows components required, and register any components necessary with the Windows Operating System. (Messages may appear during the process asking whether you wish to overwrite a later version of a file with an older version... choose the option to keep the newer version unless specifically directed otherwise.) You may be asked to restart your computer during the install process. When the install is completed, you may start Grades and Plans by double-clicking its desktop icon... the first time it is started it will create a database for you and prompt you for the registration information you received when you purchased the program. The User's Manual is located in the C:\Grades&Plans2 folder.UPGRADE -- To install the upgrade, exit Grades and Plans if it is currently running. Next, locate the upgrade file you downloaded (generally, it is an Application file of the form GP_UpgXXX_to_YYY.exe, where the XXX is the lowest revision level of the software that the file will upgrade; YYY is the version to be installed). Copy it to the Grades&Plans2 folder. Next, run the file to initiate its unpack/install... a self-extractor dialog will open; click the "UNZIP" button. Click the "OK" button to acknowledge that n-files were unzipped and then click the "Close" button to complete the process.
